60th OHP Academy
Department of Public Safety to initiate process for 60th OHP academy.
Almost two and a half years after the newest Troopers hit the road, Department of Public Safety officials announce the opening of the application process for the 60th Oklahoma Highway Patrol academy. The application period will be open for approximately 10 weeks, opening on June 1st, and closing on August 5, 2011; with a tentative academy start date of March 30, 2012.
Applicants must be at least 23 years of age but not older than 45 years of age; must have an associate degree or a minimum of 62 completed hours from an accredited college or university and be a citizen of the United States.
All applicants should visit the OHP website at www.dps.state.ok.us/ohp/ click on Recruiting and read the qualifications and disqualifications section. To submit an application click on the application link that will lead you to the Office of Personnel Management website. The link will be activated on June 1, 2011.
