DPS Makes Submitting DL/ID Address Changes Easier
The Department of Public Safety announced today the ability for Oklahoma residents to provide driver license and ID card address changes via the Internet.
"Oklahoma law requires every person with an Oklahoma driver licensee or ID card to provide notification of an address change to the Department of Public Safety within 10 days of the change," said David Beatty, Legislative and Special Projects Manager for the Department. "This requirement is printed on the back of each license and ID card, but it's something that is easy to overlook or postpone."
An interactive address change page on the Department's website allows address change information to be submitted immediately and securely to the Department. When on the Department's website (www.dps.state.ok.us), click on "Online Services", then select "DL/ID Address Change". On the address change page, enter the appropriate information and then submit it directly to the Department.

"This is the newest of our interactive web pages for use by Oklahoma residents," Beatty stated. "A year ago we rolled out the e-mail renewal notification, and earlier this year we added the vehicle insurance verification web page."
"The Department is happy to provide these services," Beatty added. "We encourage Oklahomans to make their lives a little bit easier and make use of all three services."
