Benefit Basketball Game for Cystic Fibrosis

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tactical Team will be adding an additional duty. On Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. they will be playing basketball to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. OHP vs Bob FM 96.9 will be at the Westmoore High School Gymnasium. The $5.00 admission fee will be donated to the CF Foundation. Event coordinator, Trooper of the Year 2004, Mike Swope, says, "This is a way for us to give to a worthy cause and show support for all the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation does."

Trooper Swoop said, "Troopers on the Tactical Team are from all over the state, so when they come together it's usually a high stress situation or serious training. It's going to be a lot of fun for both teams involved and I'm sure it will be entertaining, to say the least."

Trooper Swope raised $5,200 last year and has already raised close to $10,000 for the foundation this year. "We would love for the community to come out, have a few laughs, and support a great cause," said Swope.
