Expanded Drive Test Hours
Department of Public Safety officials announce the implementation of a program to increase driver license testing and services for citizens in the Oklahoma City metro area.
Driver License examining offices in four metro locations will be open 10 hours, four days a week to accommodate those individuals seeking to obtain a license in the nontraditional hours of a work day. The hours are 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Midwest City National Guard Armory, 2550 North Air Depot and in Norman at 2313 East Lindsey. The Edmond, 28 East Main, and Oklahoma City, 4480 West I-240 locations will be open the 10-hour shifts Tuesdays through Friday.
This program was piloted in the Muskogee area and proved worthy of increasing service hours to the public. The Oklahoma City metro program will last six months with a final evaluation to measure its success for future implementation.
